A craftsman begins a project with a rock. That same craftsman bangs on the rock time after time. He swings ten times, fifty times, one hundred times. That rock does not break. On the 101st swing, the rock finally breaks. Was it that final pound that actually broke the rock? No, the experienced craftsman knows it was the hundred previous pounds on the rock that caused the rock to finally break. He will tell you that persistence and commitment are the secret to

Each craftsman on this team has a conscious decision to make. He has to make that decision every lift, every practice, and every game. Every chance you come and take a swing at the rock. It has to be your best; it has to be all you got every time. You have to be totally committed to each individual swing. It may not happen this week, it may not happen this year.
